Class Level Descriptions

Yoga & Meditiation Techniques to Still the Busy Mind--15 minutes of kundalini yoga exercises, 45 minutes of guided meditation, followed by a 30-minute discussion. Hot tea will be served during the discussion. Donation only. Pay what you can.
Level 1--A beginner's course; starts with the basics, gradually advances and builds skills. Restarts at the beginning of each session.
Level I/II--Refines basic skills/poses learned in Level I; Introduces preparations for Level II poses; slower pace than Level II.
Level II-- Energetic! Prior experience strongly recommended.
All levels--All are welcome. Some experience suggested.
Restoration yoga--All levels. Sometimes called "Close to the Earth" yoga. Quiets the mind, cools rather than heats the body. Seated & reclining poses & stretches that emphasize deep relaxation.

Easing Into Yoga--Gentle Yoga appropriate for any age, any fitness level or physical condition (after doctor's approval). Focuses on breath control, range-of-motion, and strength-building. All exercises can be done using a chair, either for sittingor resting, or for support while standing.

So You Think You Can't Swing Dance-- Fluid Movement's continuing series of dance classes. All are welcome. No experience necessary. Drop-ins are welcome. The focus is on fun! Only $5 per person
Family Yoga--In my class, families will learn traditional Hatha yoga asanas through games, songs, and stories. We will practice how to cooperate and communicate as a family. The yoga-based partner games and poses encourage team- work, confidence building, and self-control. We will learn to strengthen our bodies, hearts, and minds while having a lot of fun!
Easy Stretch--a very gentle introduction to Yoga and Tai Chi movement and breath work. Exercises done mainly in chairs. Appropriate for anyone, especially older adults.
